League of Legends Worlds Finals

Worlds Playoff Record : 4-0 +8.84u (+93.05% ROI)

As you can see above, playoffs have been great for us. Lets end it with a bang.

To be honest, I never thought this day would come, but here it is. A western team is in the finals of the League of Legends World Championship, and there is no doubt in my mind that they are the better team.

Last year Invictus Gaming broke the 5 year korean winning streak at worlds through unmatchable aggression and mechanics. This year G2 breaks the asian dominance that had eastern teams win every major event going back to 2012 by winning both MSI and Worlds. This will be a historic game, not only marking the end of an era and definitively closing the gap between europe and asia. Also while this proves the massive gap between north america and the other major regions, it creates hope. Even 2 years ago it was unthinkable to have a non asian world champion. If Europe can build a team to do it…. NA can import europeans to do it for them.

Enough about what it means that they do it, let's talk about how they do it.

However the fuck they want. They are better individual players across the board, play better macro, team fight better, are better at the control vs control style we will likely see in this matchup and don't completely rely on their mid/jungle duo to get them their wins. The only thing FPX has an edge in is dealing with non stop aggression which G2 generally don't need to win their games and FPX cant play themselves. Every player on G2 is a superstar level player in their role (Perkz in 2 roles). FPX thrive in china because they work well in the chaos. G2 can bring chaos, but they won't. They will play this game smart, they will play it controlled and they win this series.

Their match vs SKT last week was by far the best league of legends any western team has ever played and just in general it was one of the best series ever. FPX was playing IG, and two chinese teams playing is always casual bait. Lots of action but nobody really knows what they are even trying to do.
