NCAAB-Why does this spread look weird?

Why does this spread look weird?

George Mason -2 @ Richmond

The Richmond Spiders host the George Mason Patriots in an A10 matchup on Wednesday night. George Mason comes into the game sporting a 13-9 record having won 5 of their last 6. Richmond limps into the game with an 8-14 record having lost 5 of 6 and 9 of 13. One of Richmond's top players, Jacob Gilyard, missed the 2 games earlier this season with a groin injury, but has bounced back to continue leading the team in scoring over the last 3 games. Richmond is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games. George Mason is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs teams with winning percentages under .500 and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games.

The numbers certainly favor George Mason, but the spread leaves us pondering on question; why is this line only George Mason -2? How do you interpret this line from the Book? Is it a setup or a misstep? I'll leave it to you to determine your opinion. Remember-bet with your head, not over it!
