UAB -12 vs UTSA @ 1.9 (1.8+) 2u on nitrogen
The more things change, the more they stay the same. With that said, we go back to a team that covered and won last week for us and the plueEVsports family.
UAB -12 vs UTSA is our pick of the day. The UAB Blazers come off a dominate 2nd half defensive performance vs Rice, as they shut out the Owls, allowing zero points and really stifling a running attack that was effective in the first half. UAB's run defense continues to prove why it's one of the best in the country; allowing only 90 rushing yards per game.
UTSA's strength on offense is definitely their running attack, as they average 197 yards per game on the ground. So what gives if UTSA can run effectively and UAB can stop the run effectively?
Simple, UTSA's defense allows over 378 total yards of offense per game. The defense can't make a timely stop to allow the run game to be effective.
UAB is effective in both the passing and rushing attacks. If UAB starts out fast like we expect, this game could get out of hand quickly. UTSA's passing attack is simply AWFUL! They only average 138 yards per game in passing! Yuck! Their offense averages 18 points per game, but UAB should hold them under that number, as their defense only allows 16 points per game this season.
UAB is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 October games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games versus teams with a losing record. UTSA is 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs teams with a winning record.
This is a recipe for a blowout! Give us UAB -12, as we expect them to cover easily.
