Hit our POTD 2u banger and ended the day 3-2, improving our record to: 12-8 +5.24u profit (20.57%). Let’s finish week 3 strong!
Chicago Bears @ Washington Redskins

The Redskins looked great in their first 2 quarters this season, as they went into halftime up 20-0. Key words: first 2 quarters. It took them another 5 quarters to match those 20 points over their first two games. Back from Dallas, they host the Bears on Monday Night Football. Impressively, this number 28th ranked offense managed to get some points on both the Cowboys and the Eagles. Through his first two games, Keenum has maintained an impressive passer rating against a struggling Eagles and middling Cowboys secondaries. In fact, he sports a 69.1% (nice) completion percentage and an overall 111.2 QBR.
It’s clear that they haven’t found success running the ball, either, sporting 75 total rushing yards. Let’s pause for a moment and fondly remember young Derrius Guice. I sincerely hope he can get right and make an impact on the offense in the future. I hoped it would happen this season. Last year I let Guice rot away on my IR spot, my sneaky stash that I would take into this season for crazy late round keeper value. Oh joy! What a marvelous preseason debut and coach praising the back! LOL JK other knee - RIP. Long term I hope Guice returns, because while Adrian Peterson is doing his best Frank Fore impression, there isn’t much left in that tank.

Tonight they face their biggest challenge. The Bears’ defense is ranked #1 in passing (448 yards) and #2 in rushing defense (137 yards). Washington isn’t terrible against the pass, having allowed 574 total yards through the air, ranking 5th overall, however where they do struggle is stopping the run. To date, the Deadskins have allowed 168 rushing yards per game and allowed two touchdowns, ranking 14th in the NFL.
Let’s be honest, on paper both teams are complete garbage on offense. The difference is that one team is slowly putting the pieces together as they adjust to a new playbook and new coach while the other faces their toughest defensive challenge with limited options.
Here’s a few likely options that should allow us to withstand a victory:
Option 1: Trubisky finally finds true form and manages to drop the ball perfectly to Allen Robinson, as he beats Josh Norman in single coverage, or Anthony Miller finally gets moving, resulting in endless touchdowns.
Option 2: Montgomery continues to build off his rising usage and momentum, completely running over Washington for hundreds of yards.
Option 3: Khalil Mack eats Case Keenum and scores 2-5 defensive TD’s.
All jokes aside, I am comfy cozy taking the Bears by a TD+ in an ugly Monday night matchup.
Chicago Bears -6.5 @ Washington Redskins (2.126 > 2.0) 1u on Nitrogen
As always, BOL and stay disciplined 🍀
