As always, BOL and stay disciplined🍀

New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars

It’s hard to believe that the Jets, following their blowout loss to the Patriots last week, once beat the Cowboys earlier this season -- this after Sam Darnold returned from suffering from the kissing sickness. Man, our memories are short. Now they head to the Florida swamp to take on #MinchewMania and the Jags.

Things aren’t necessarily looking up for the Jets in this one, either. According to Odds Shark, the Jets 1-8 SU and 3-6 ATS in their last nine games on the road. After losing their last three road games by a combined score of 99-23. But things are different this time. The Jaguars are now without Jalen Ramsey, and Sam Darnold, while looking like a JV Quarterback against the Patriots, isn’t Andy Dalton-levels bad. What’s interesting is, while their defenses are ranked pretty close to each other this season, it’s in fact the Jaguars that have allowed both more rushing yards (820 to 553), more passing yards (1770 to 1560), and passing touchdowns (9 to 6). The only category the Jets are worse in is rushing touchdowns allowed (10 to 7).

Currently, the Jaguars are favored by -6.5, but I think this is the Jets chance to make a recovery. In fact, I think that Le’Veon Bell has a coming out party against the Jags leaky front 7, and the J-E-T-S use his legs and unbelievable patient running style to bleed the clock to a victory. For those in fantasy situations where they have Leonard Fournette, I do think he’s able to score a rushing touchdown, maybe 2, but kept under a 100 yards with the underrated Jets front seven.

Fly high on this one, guys. The Jets cover and win.

Philadelphia Eagles at Buffalo Bills

Aside from the Dolphins, Bengals, and Redskins,v is there a team in the NFL that looks as hapless as the Eagles? In the last two games alone, they’ve been blown out 75-30. The offense has potential in Carson Wentz, but everyone, especially Nelson Agohlor, can’t catch or is on the shelf hurt. The defense looks like the Chernobyl nuclear reactor following its meltdown. While they aren’t the worst, but they’re pretty close to it, being ranked 26th overall. What’s surprising though, is that they’re only 2 point dogs as they head into Buffalo for this tilt.

The Bills, however, really couldn’t get anything going against Miami last week. It was really because Tre’Davious White put the team on his damn back to save victory from the jaws of defeat -- snagging an interception and recovering a fumble stopping all Dolphins momentum. But this is different, the Eagles have allowed secondary looks like that old high school sweatshirt you told your mom to hold onto -- full of holes. On the season they have given up the 4th most through the air, totalling 1894 yards and a whopping 14 touchdowns.

I don’t see the Eagles leaving Buffalo with a win. Odds Shark reports that they are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against the Bills, and to make matters worse, the Bills defense is ranked 3rd on the year overall. Wentz offense has only scored 3 touchdowns in the past two games while committing an eye-popping 7 turnouvers. Anticipate these numbers to continue to go in opposite directions: more turnovers and few touchdowns. I really like Josh Allen for you fantasy players out there, very likely continuing to demonstrate his chemistry with John Brown through the air.

Take the Bills with confidence. Moneyline, favorites, and possibly the under.
